Full Moon in Libra – Balance and Harmony

The Full Moon in Libra is about bringing a state of balance and harmony through overcoming conflicts and obstacles. The Sun in Aries opposite the Moon in Libra asks us to look deeply within at how we can stay true to ourselves, while at the same time finding balance in all our relationships.

 

The Moon illuminates the sign of Libra, and the qualities of divine harmony, sacred balance and peace. The scales of Libra are like the scales of Ma’at, weighing the heart of the deceased to see if it is as light as a feather. This does not mean you have never made any mistakes. It is asking you whether you have reconciled everything within you. Have you made peace with the past? Have you forgiven others to release the load on your heart? Have you forgiven yourself and made amends to the best of your ability?

 

We can only do our best. To find the true goodness and purity of heart, we continue to course correct and make the right decisions every day. We are human; we learn through mistakes. The key is in recognising where we have gone off the path, and making things right. This is how we clear karma – when we gain the awareness within.

 

The Sun is conjunct Chiron the wounded healer, and themes of healing the wounds of the past are prevalent. The Libra moon says, all can be released into a state of Divine balance. You might be surprised at what life brings you, with new wonders and amazements to heal your heart. You will never find these things if your heart is a closed door.

 

The full moon is square to Mars in Cancer, bringing up potential frictions and sensitive issues around this time. When you recognise your triggers, the energy will transform into a greater awareness. Moon square Mars can bring irritability, tetchiness; and also the urge to action. We are actively working towards a state of balance as the airy Libra moon cools the fire of Aries, like the wings of Isis protecting from the fiery heat of Ra.

 

The full moon is trine to Jupiter in Gemini, bringing opportunities for expansion, fresh ideas and new communications. We are very much feeling the new, with Neptune newly in Aries, at the beginning of a whole new era. We stand as pioneers at the dawn of a new awakening.

 

With energies rising and things manifesting much faster, the key to balance is in lightness of heart. In lightness we find joy. In lightness we manifest. In lightness we find peace. This does not mean bypassing the necessary work – not at all. One can look deeply into the shadows, be brutally honest and go through the inner transformations, while also finding the lightness of heart. This is a gift in every moment.

 

It is well to remember this as Mars moves back into opposition with Pluto. Pressure only gets more intense when you focus on it. The spirit of life has infinite possibilities. When you feel blocked, ask to be shown the magical way forward. Paint a door on the wall and walk through it. You will never know this is possible until you do it.
