The Capricorn New Moon comes one day before New Year’s Eve, and is a focal point for new intentions and manifestations. This new moon is positively aspected, and brings the opportunity to generate success from challenging circumstances.

Mercury is currently opposing Jupiter and squaring Saturn, which is causing at once heightened communications and also blocks to understanding and connection. This is feeding into the Jupiter Saturn square which is causing delays and obstacles to progress. Mercury will exit the shadow phase and move out of this aspect by 5 January. The aspect of Saturn to the new moon will help with this energy, and allow you to focus your mind into the future and the way you would like things to be.

Capricorn is the mythical seagoat who emerges from the depths of the ocean, and ascends the mountain to the summit. This is the last earth sign, symbolising the furthest point that spirit descends into matter. When spirit has entered the material realms and turned away from its Divine origins; there is nowhere left to go but the path of return. Like the mythical goat of Capricorn, once we have ascended to the summit of materialism; we then turn and climb the inner mountain of spirit. In so doing, we infuse the world around us with the light of spirit. We bring soul into everything we do. We begin the work of spiritualising matter.
