This New Moon occurs at 11am UT on Thursday 17 September, at 25° Virgo. We are building towards the Equinox when the Sun enters Libra in five days time.
So much has transpired this year, with world events spiralling out of control, information wars, extreme weather, natural and manmade disasters, lockdowns, restrictions, and horrors and scandals coming to light. Humanity is under assault, and the daily confusion makes it hard to be discerning and see an accurate picture of what is going on.
The New Moon in Virgo signifies a new beginning, in the sign of the Virgin Priestess. Her gifts are much needed at this time. The energy of Virgo brings discernment, focus, order and crystallisation. We need a compass to navigate these times, an inner process of discernment and clear vision. We need to focus on the details that will allow us to progress to the next level. In the information wars and overwhelm, we need to separate the wheat from the chaff to find the sacred gold.
The Priestesses of ancient times were devoted to the sacred work. Many of them renounced home and family, to be instruments of the Divine. The purification processes were intense, and their gifts were honed and refined through humble practice and dedication. The gifts of the sacred feminine were many; oracle, seer, healer, medicine woman, master of sacred oils, weaver, storyteller, silversmith, artist, singer, poet, astrologer, sacred consort. The Magdalenes and the Priestesses of Isis carried the wisdom of the ages, the sacred flame of the Goddess.
Purification and refinement are gifts of Virgo. It is time to unlock your sacred gifts that you have carried through the ages. It is time to acknowledge your soul contracts that you have agreed to at this time. Now is the time to devote yourself to the sacred work, for all humanity.
As we approach the Equinox, this is a time of balance. The Autumn Equinox in the Northern Hemisphere, and the Spring Equinox in the Southern Hemisphere, brings a balance of light and dark as the Earth’s magnetic field is lowered. This is a window that allows us to pierce the veils. World events must come into alignment and find some kind of balance and order. The people must let go of what no longer serves: meaningless rules and restrictions, and the implementation of sinister agendas.
The Sun and Moon are in trine to Saturn, Pluto and Jupiter in Capricorn. We have an opportunity to ease up the difficult energies somewhat, and find the keys to move past obstacles to the next level. The equinox gateway is a turning point, and we must ensure that we, like the Sun, do not slip into the underworld, but rise up in our sovereign divinity and are reborn like the Phoenix.
Now is the time and the time is now.
